Colorado Medicaid ASC Pilot Program

CASCA workgroup was created to evaluate the ideal procedures to utilize for this project. The goal is to migrate procedures from the hospital setting to the ASC setting, which would have an end result of cost savings for the state even with a higher payment to the ASC and physician providing surgical services.

SECURE

CASCA was fortunate to secure a $1 Million targeted rate increase pilot program with the CO Department of Health Care Policy and Finance (HCPF).

RATE

The payments break down to a $500,000 increase for physician’s professional fees and a $500,000 increase for ASC facility fees.

FUTURE

CASCA encourages every ASC to utilize this pilot program, as a successful project can help open the door for a wider scope project in the future!
